I'm just hoping I can get a mortgage in the 4's by the time my house renews in a couple of years.
 
The owner has assets worth $230 billion. I don't think lending interest rates are that much of a concern.

It would also be facing huge write downs on its commercial office portfolio, so probbaly not in investment mode
 
The writedowns are not happening in the rental apartment market.
 
IExperts speculate the office market could take decades to recover. It's not in the best interest of Bentall/ GWLRA/ Quadreal on behalf of BCIMC to sit on these diminishing office values. Rental income doesn't justify construction. GWLRA building The Livmore Eau Claire on some of the surface parking space couldn't hurt the portfolio's value. It would only cost a fraction of a percent of the overall portfolio value even after billions in lost commercial values.
