Perhaps late summer/September maybe? Doesn't look like they've started interior fittings at all yet.

Notes from the latest David Parker article:

"Calgary architect and engineer Kate MacGregor is planning the second of her lecture series on Feb. 14 in the National Music Centre’s Studio Bell. Guest lecturer is Bryan Young, founding principal of Young Projects in New York, a firm MacGregor worked for before returning to Calgary to launch her own XYC Design + Development. Young’s talk will focus on esthetic material innovation and reinvigorating traditional methods of fabrication. MacGregor is building the impressive M2 mixed use Riverwalk building adjacent to the Simmons Building in East Village, and the third of her lecture series, scheduled for March, will feature the New York firm nARCHITECTS that developed the design concept for the building. Oh no... more black?!

Without getting a really good look at the black material, it's hard to judge but so far I would say it looks good. Flat looking, but having a fair bit of specular properties ....enough to make it interesting..
I think it could look good as long at it is uniform and doesn't have some off-colour mullions (mullions are okay if the same colour as panel). The more simple they go, i think the better it'll look in contrast to the Simmons building.

The part I'm most looking forward to is the north side of the building. It looks to be white, but sometimes gray metallic. Should be interesting to see how turns out.
