Kensington Mixed Use | ?m | 9s | Stonebriar | McKinley Burkart

9 stories is acceptable at that location IMO. I would be surprised if there as much opposition to it....pending the design of course. IIRC residents weren't crazy about Pixel. @Nimbus probably remembers that better than I do.

I recall the developer had shown the concept to the community. Does anyone what the feedback was?
According to the hillhirst Sunnyside ca meeting minutes (on a tablet in Cabo so can't provide a link, just Google the website) Graywood is planning 9 stories with retail at grade for the RBC site. Just a verbal description, no massing.

This seems to be a bit of a trend with Stonebriar. This is the second major proposal they've bailed on in Kensington. They also bailed on one in Mission. Single family seems to work better for them:oops:

Stonebriar is pooched, they owe many suppliers lots of money going back well over a year.

Very happy to hear that Battistella picked it up, would have been just as pumped if Bucci got it too though.

Good to hear. It adds great character to the neighbourhood. Would have been a shame to lose it. Will be interesting to see how they utilize it.

That'd be great if they converted it into a brew pub or something.

Battistella's land use goes to CPC next week for these parcels (Item 7.2.4):

Approved in principle by Council, subject to heritage designation of the church. Farrell tried to get Battistella to produce a DP application prior to land use approval but she was voted down.

There is a large for sale sign up on this parcel now. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Battistella is pursuing it at this time.

Hopefully it gets bought by a developer interested in building rentals and we see some movement sooner rather than later.
