The existing building is being demolished today. Was about 80% gone when I walked by at lunch.

That’s weird. When I spoke to someone at their booth during Marda Gras, they said they were going to reuse a significant portion of the existing building. I told them I was surprised by this based on the renderings.

Hmm weird that they spent all that time and money putting up signage and advertising just to tear it down

They didn't tear it down, the wind from last weekend's storm blew the signage over. Fire fighters were there on Saturday morning cleaning it up.
