Forms are being built for the street level step up on the north side. They have also installed the horizontal supports for the awnings.

Not a lot of exterior updates these days mostly minor tweaks and cleanup work. Glass is starting to go up on the balconies for the north tower and podium brickwork is underway on the south tower. As you can see from GoVertical's night time shots the interior work has progressed most of the way up the north tower. Should be on track for occupancy in the fall/winter.

One tweak I would've like to see in the design is some variation in the heights of the podium sections. It would've helped break up the podium massing even more. Overall great project.

The towers are a bit disappointing, but the podium looks great! Can't wait till some retail starts to move in, should make a difference in the area finally.

ya, aside from the royal and arris i cant think of a recent tower having any retail worth making it a destination. either empty or mostly nail salons and subways. fingers crossed.

I think the area is underserved by restaurants and pubs / bars. Being so close to the Stampede Grounds and Saddledome, Vagabond is the only real option and that place is garbage.

A simple podium like this would have made the West Village towers a win. Instead, they spent millions of dollars extra on trying to do something crazy only to have it flop. Sometimes plain and simple is the way to go.
