Having beers with a couple Bosa dudes next week, will ask and update.
Make sure you offer them as many beers as they want. The more beers, the more likely they are to spill the beans. ;)

It'll take years more. They're redesigning the tower itself which may take the rest of 2019 for construction to actually begin on it. Fingers crossed that it doesn't shrink from the original 142 meters

They won't be starting the towers any time soon. He was referring to the unreasonably slow rate of progress on the podium.
 
Yes of course. That's been the plan for a long time. It happens relatively often.
 
A 30 storey condo is currently being constructed above a fully occupied 20 storey office building in Toronto. The facade of the office building was completely replaced and new parking levels dug below the existing foundation while fully occupied as well.

So much is doable in construction these days with some of the new technology and methods out there. I wonder what it cost them to do that?.
