I'm glad they covered the whole area with shrubs. That hillside looked utterly awful when it was the bark mulch, and decent, but not great when they had the clump of shrubs.
Using the streetview time machine, you can see there has been shrubs there in the past.

They were replaced by bark mulch when the light sculpture was installed:

Not sure when that got switched to grass and why though.

Wonder what those shrubs will look like in a few years, probably full of garbage, needles and homeless people. Looks great right now though!

Yeah, the thought definitely occurred to me that the shrubs aren't about the quality of the grass, but rather the typical people who frequent the grass.

I was thinking the same thing. If the shrubs are close enough to each other, and don't get too big they may keep people out altogether.

I'm excited for this project and am glad it's going ahead but the architectural design of the towers seems to be getting worse with each iteration. I really liked the towers it the very early renderings but not so much now.
Oh well.

Hi Group,
The Points about the Homeless etc are Well Put. Thanks for Posting.

Tnx,

A few shots from yesterday. Not the greatest as they were taken from my car while I was parked at the light. You can see the angled beams going ion that will make up the front facade of the retail area.

You're probably right. I think it's easy to be pleased that the EV is getting a grocery store, but it's less easy to be excited if the proposed 42 story tower that was supposed to be above it isn't moving along as assuredly.

Hi Group,
If these Two Towers go up as Planned (hopefully) it will add a lot of Interest to the Areas. I'll sticky my Neck and give the 2 Towers a Strong Vote of Confidence and Hope for the Best

Tnx.
Operater.
