I was one of the many lined up at Made by Marcus the other day, and was thinking about how great it would be to have this building across the street.
 
Speaking of which, the decision on the land use is coming up at the end of the month after a public hearing. I'm going to send my comments as well. I should let the developer know about this website, iirc another developer had used comments off of this site at their presentation.
 
What's the problem? Once you get west of 14th hillhurst lacks life, it's boring with the exception of 19th which is on the brink of being a decent retail strip. I mean aren't people shelling out big money for small homes to be near amenities, doesn't this project add to that? Change will happen. What the nimbys fail to recognize is the alternative. Will the lot sit bare for a decade, be home to run down rentals waiting to be torn down, or have something get built that's terrible. This project looks good, adds amenities and will help all of their respective land values, it's idiotic not to support it.
 
Common sense usually prevails. Any community involvement is good. Many times I've seen ideas implemented from the most intense NIMBYs that has improved development. Let them organize. Let them have their five minutes.
