If the panels are a brand like Alucobond, the red should stay red. Fingers crossed!

As for the design. It’s nothing to write home about, but it’s not terrible. Overall, it’ll be a good addition to downtown.

The plans refer to the red panels as "prefinished metal panels". Hopefully they will be of a high enough quality manufacture so as not to turn pink.

Overall nothing to write home about but the massing and street level are fine, it'll bring a bunch more residents downtown and replace a parking lot which is a big win. Assuming both this and Cantiro go ahead that block will be in for a big positive transformation in the next few years.

I don't mind the red, but in part because I am so sick of the greys, browns, beiges, whites and blacks that are overused in development all over Calgary right now. As always, the final product (assuming this gets built) may look quite different from the renderings.
Respectfully, those are the colors every city with a winter climate in NA uses...not a lot of other options? I dont want to shit on the whole design, not every residential project is going to be floor to ceiling windows with minimal cladding, costs are relative to unit prices. It does provide nice scale for that end of downtown, with a fun podium....but that is 100% red/burgundy as evidenced by the flat elevation drawing...no light reflection in the world is going to turn that material copper/brown, as their 3D model indicates

Is this going on the current gravel lot on the corner behind Grid 5 or is this going on the old Petro Tech printing site? I was under the impression that there was a taller tower with podium going there.
