Preferred design has it crossing the tracks at-grade. I assume the CN line there just doesn't see enough traffic to justify more overpass

Memorial Drive extension is in Phase 3 engagement with a preferred design: https://engage.calgary.ca/memorialdriveeast This kinda blew me away. Is there a nicer arterial road in the whole city?

Our bus fleet is in shambles right now, so the existing level of service is honestly a miracle. I really want to see more funding for buses because the ones we have on the way will pretty much all be followed by the beaters being retired. This reminds me of 162 Avenue BRT. I would like to see a...

FWIW once Red Line does eventually need to go underground, the plan is to keep Blue on 7th which would be fine since Red leaving would free up more than enough capacity. Calgary Transit reported that the Free Fare Zone carried more than 8 million passengers in 2024 so it's definitely important...

I really don't get the comparisons to Edmonton. They're just doing what Calgary did decades ago. The CTrain is already extensive as planned and the existing network only really needs the NE extension. MAX has a sweet spot in terms of dedicated road infrastructure since the city is already so...

Green line is already well underway, several years of enabling works have been completed and are ongoing. It's a massive project, and I'm not worried about the high floor network. The NE to 128 Avenue would be nice and has a completed functional planning study but there's no money right now anyway.

I would love to see a close to 1:1 copy of the Montgomery Bowness Road project. The area right in front of the station has potential, especially with the triangle lot that could have a cool flatiron style building. I hope when the time comes the city has a good vision of what to do with that...

The PTN standard is just a high all-day frequency, centre street carries an obscene amount of buses as the 301 and 3 alone operate at 5 minute headways during peak hours

There's also a pedestrian tunnel being constructed at the Ogden station site. Maybe long term there'll be some denser employment built in the CP shops land

Loading dock seems likely, considering the other streets are not ideal for vehicle access
