not to mention the convention center plus playoff runs, concerts and other uses for the arena, also the casino and three fairly large condo towers. not like its a ghost town 300 days a year.
surprises me there hasnt been even a sniff of a project in the area proximate to the arena. even if they didnt break ground until the arena has been completed i expected at least something thrown against the wall by now.
Great news however I hope the city has a long term traffic plan for that area. Even if half the residents are carless its still exasperating a terrible situation.
heard on the radio this morning the police were conducting a safety operation throughout the east village and downtown.
i happened to drive past century gardens in the afternoon and there were 10+ police vehicles, some quite large vans.
