I wish there were laws or some way to deter this from happening. The fact that they're allowed to directly control the vibrancy of areas just because of greed is crazy.
That building is going up so fast. It would be so great to fill in all that space in that area still. Is that hon tower project that was proposed for that area dead then?
Right? That's why I'm not totally sold on the rumour but you never know I guess. The upside is that I think they would be one of the few places that could make that space work.
I love this little building, I always thought it could make a cute restaurant or cocktail bar. It bummed me out every time I've walked by it throughout the last year or so cause it keeps falling into a further state of disrepair.
It would be really great to have a mixed-use with a hotel, multiple condos, retail ground floor like it was suggested before, and maybe even a movie theatre on the second floor or something.
There's been a lot of fuss around this building the past couple weeks (prepping the new sidewalk, fixing the balconies, etc.). Is this prep work for selling it? Or do you think that there's a buyer already?
