If easy trim is not colour matched to the panel it is on, I think jail time is acceptable. Not too much time in the slammer, but not too little either.

love this project. The retail is such a welcome addition to this built form

No Frills is a good deal but landing Mr Lube was a home run

    Green Line LRT | ?m | ?s | Calgary Transit

100%, there are many ways to integrate the +15 system with the eventual elevated stations.

    Green Line LRT | ?m | ?s | Calgary Transit

I think integration of the +15 network is the ideal outcome and an achievable one that makes a lot of sense for our network. Just needs detailed design.

I'm aware this is unpopular, but I don't care at all about these +15s. I could give a shit if they get rebuilt, to me it's probably a better outcome if they do not. The 'arguably better human experience' is only for business-class people between the hours of 8am-4:30pm, hardly a way to build a...

    Green Line LRT | ?m | ?s | Calgary Transit

Sure, push to whatever the allowable min height is to clear based on CPKC guidelines, i'm sure they can't be much different than the current ramps and covers over the line for the City Centre Parkade now. And I see wiping out seven +15s as a solution, not a problem. Reroute them at different...

LOL just saw the Alignment. I am clairvoyant, AECOM please send me a cheque. I think they should just bulldoze/remove the conflicting parkade entrance from 9th for the City Centre Parkade, it already has access/egress from 10 Ave. Run train at the +15-level, no higher along 2nd Street SW...

    Glenmore Landing | 115m | 35s | RioCan | NORR

Was a pretty aggressive density play with just BRT and the fact the site is sown in with Arterial only access. Would be a tough TIA to work through. Would be good to come in at a UD scale between 4-12 stories imo. Views from those towers would’ve been sick though

Should’ve been a mixed use development with waterslides 🌊💅

Love this. Only thing that sucks is the bylaw setback you can’t do anything with on the 12 Ave side.

I agree with you. Just think better design choices could make these more attractive without adding cost

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

I don't think I see a world where another office tower is built, likely for another few decades that isn't medical office like the one across from the new Cancer Centre. That is a ton of office space and there is just so much AA and A space I just don't see why anyone would build until these...

    Village Block | 27m | 6s | Liberty Housing | Metafor

I may be moving to that area and it needs walkable amenities so bad. Give me a Memorial Drive/Parkdale Blvd/3 Ave of just this along the riverfront and we're killing it. Didn't get VE'd as bad as i thought it would either.

    Bow River Shopping Centre | 30m | 10s | ONE Properties

Thank god they included more surface parking. There just simply wasn't nearly enough included around it, the Superstore only has about ~1,000 parking stalls.

I hope some of the swimming ideas happen from this concept. Swimming plus accessible (portable, probably) saunas would be awesome. Something that works like Havnebadet Islands Brygge in Copenhagen would be ideal.

    AHC 6th Ave | 25m | 6s | Attainable Homes Calgary | Hindle Architects

Those windows are really nice. I like the jamb extension adding some depth. I want to know who there window supplier is. This building rules i want more of this style and scale.

    General Construction Updates

Good lord, $3,450 for 2bed2bath and two stalls is dog shit. I would pay ~$2,650, all-in for that in that location. mildly low-balling.
