    General Construction Updates

That drawing is from 2022 - it's a version of the Stephen Avenue Quarter project that is long dead.

Calgary Bike Lanes and Bike Paths

I like that they are upgrading to protected bike lanes, but I wish they were keeping both 14th and 15th as one ways.

    Arts Commons | 18m | 4s | City of Calgary | KPMB

Yeah definitely an unfortunate decision to take away so much space from the plaza and surround it with even more dead institutional buildings.

Are they using high floor trains? Wouldn't that be a total re-design?

Calgary Bike Lanes and Bike Paths

Good - plenty of spandex dorks and e-bike losers ripping way too fast on the pathways lately.

    Green Line LRT | ?m | ?s | Calgary Transit

Why not run at grade on 11 Ave turning north onto 1st Street SW? Might have to dig out the CP underpass a little. They could then do a short cut and cover tunnel for a station immediately north of 9th Ave, come back to grade north of 7th, and then have an elevated station near Sien Lok Park...

I don't think this is the case. They are rightly concerned about costs and scope creep however.

    Green Line LRT | ?m | ?s | Calgary Transit

Wasn't this announced in 2015 or something? This thing should have been under construction by the time the UCP took over government - with costs locked in prior to COVID / inflation etc. I think your anger is mis-directed as this failure in project management is almost entirely on the City.

    Green Line LRT | ?m | ?s | Calgary Transit

The ring road is an excellent infrastructure investment as is the Green Line. It's not just about providing access for drivers (which is nice), it's about having a functional transportation network for goods and services to move throughout the region.
