    Bankview 2310 | 16m | 5s | Eagle Crest | FAAS Architecture

This has now been approved. Eagle Crest appear to have started their other Bankview project (19th Ave) so this may not start until that one is complete unless they are now large enough to handle several projects at once. We will know soon..

    1601 Kensington Rd | 26m | 8s | Trocan | Gravity Architecture

Looks like the developer of this one, Trocan, are bankrupt. Several of their sites are judicial sale.

    Sunalta Heights | 88.39m | 27s | Housing One | S2 Architecture

It's the temporary plywood in place of windows. With the rental supply so dire, maybe they can give a discount it folks are willing to rent with some plywood window panes...

    Bankview 2310 | 16m | 5s | Eagle Crest | FAAS Architecture

I believe that it still is both EagleCrest as developer and FAAS as designer. I have not seen a sale.

This is regarding Eagle Crest' development / FAAS designer project at 2318 15th SW. It's been called both Versant and Bankview 2310. Does anyone know what 'In Circulation' means? This was previously 'Approved' which I thought was the final stage of a permit application...

Looks like Arlington Street Investments is shedding some assets (thank god). Carrying cost for some of their empty buildings on 17th Ave must be huge. Hopefully an actual real developer buys some of these...

There is a development sign up at 25th Ave & 15th Street in Bankview. Entire street of original brick homes soon to be knocked down for most likely a condo building. Very surprising choice for a developer to buy up an entire street like this as all are very well kept owner occupied (non-rentals)...

Land use change has been approved for this one.

It's the material that is the problem. It is cheap and looks cheap. A higher quality material and this would be a 10/10.

    General Construction Updates

This issue pales in comparison to other issues in this city however I would like the new mayor, council and CPS to come down hard on shitty graffiti. Over the last few years shitty graffiti and vandalism has really brought down the inner city. Not sure what the solution is but would love some...

    The Fifth | 17m | 5s | Arlington Street | NORR

This building screams cheap. Everything from the residential grade white acrylic windows, the spandrel and the metal cladding. Right across from ASI's office too. Scared for the other 17th Ave ASI projects now.

I answered my own question. It is not designated. https://www.calgary.ca/content/www/en/home/pda/pd/heritage-planning/discover-historic-calgary-resources.html.html?dhcResourceId=262

I agree. My preference would be to demolish the Telus building and incorporate the old Scotia Bank building into the base of a low rise glass residential tower. Sad to see it not be considered. Wonder if it is on the list of historic designations?

Article on Arlington Street Investments. New rendering for their site at the SE intersection of 17th Ave & 14th St which shows the historical Scotia Bank building demolished along with the ugly Telus building...

Is it a City of Calgary bylaw that we need to cut down any tree that actual reaches maturity ? This is in the Beltline next to the dog park. Hate to see this happen, considering Calgary' canopy is so young and small compared to older cities.

Absolutely sick of the constant negative Alberta articles from the CBC to be honest. It seems to be an agenda from their editors for clicks by the rest of Canada. It's borderline snobbery and contempt to be honest.

I was thinking the same. It looks ridiculously sloped and it doesn't appear to be the photo lol.

My mistake. I assumed it was residential after seeing it proposed as 'industrial condos'; I was not aware that the word condos can relate to other forms of building uses. Would be cool if they were residential condos though. With the Green Line going through industrial areas in the SE, the...
