    Parkline | 60m | 16s | Minto | Zeidler

This development is a great use of underutilized land. No. One has been using that large parcel for about a decade now. It’s in an area that has been redeveloping rapidly for a couple decades, on the forefront of the trend compared to the rest of the inner city. The current form of the project...

    Franklin Station Area Improvement Project | ?m | ?s | Onward Homes

I hope you’re right, the higher the better by a station. It’d be nice to see a catalyst for development along the NE line. I’d assume the demand for apartments would be quite high over there, and ridership is great on transit in this area of town. For some reason the West line seems like the...

    Parkline | 60m | 16s | Minto | Zeidler

This neighbourhood definitely hasn’t become quieter since the high school closed. Redevelopment has been perpetually hot for at least 15-20 years in Killarney/Richmond/Knob Hill. Endless infills and townhouses going up since the mid 2000s.

    Plaza 34 | 22.7m | 6s | Mancal | LOLA

Why do consider this to be ‘losses of the businesses?’ There will be ground floor retail in this development. There could actually be more businesses here, but with way better utilization of the land. There are so many areas in the city where this sort of development would add to the area...

    Calgary Transit

CTV News did a great piece covering the mechanics working on the old Edmonton LRT cars. To me, they look quite similar to the original Ctrain cars. This made me appreciate more about how skilled these mechanics are who maintain these ancient cars. Link Here

    The Hat Eau Claire | 28m | 7s | Cidex Group

I see people mention that this is a boring area to live in and I completely disagree. There are a ton of new builds and conversions going up in the area. It’s realistic that a couple thousand new people will move to west downtown and Eau Claire in the next few years. It’ll be one of the most...

    Library Square | 21m | 6s | Bankside | LOLA

Great work on this. Aesthetically pleasing materials, human scale height that matches the area, no random neon rectangles, no fucked up window patterns like that high rise in hotel village. It turns out you don’t need a building full of $600k+ condos to do an effective job.

    Calgary Transit

Absolutely, that’s the only reason this station will exist, is to transfer to the airport. If you look in a map, it’s so close to the Saddletowne station that there’s no other reason for it

Let’s build a cable car system in Calgary. I want one that goes from Westbrook Station to Foothills Hospital, and then carries on up to University LRT station.

    627 Heritage Dr SW | 23m | 6s | Good Form | Metafor

In my opinion, the city should focus its efforts on going all in on a few key TODs that make sense over the next 10 years, then fully build them out. After this, move onto the next most obvious TODs after full completion of the first set. It will become obvious what the second set becomes as the...

    627 Heritage Dr SW | 23m | 6s | Good Form | Metafor

This is perfect for the area. I think more appropriate high density TOD sites on the south line are Chinook and Anderson. It’s sad to see us lose the YMCA and not have another rec centre replace it in the nearby area.

    Mission Landing | 26m | 6s | Opus Corporation | Casola Koppe

Macleod is an awful stroad. So many run down strip malls from before any of us were born. It would take a lot to make this area a nice place to live.

It’s a bit of a shame they didn’t get the corner lot on this one as well. It would lead to better access for parking, or for pickup and drop offs. This area of Bankview has quite a steep gradient, so it’s a bit annoying to get around in the winter. Having the parking access on the hillside makes...

    Madison | 23m | 6s | Sarina Homes

Hey, not a bad route you built for a tram. My minor changes would be to build a new interchange just for the tram above crowchild, going from Bishop Carroll straight east. Then I would go through Scarboro and straight north on 16 St all the way up to Sunalta station to finish.

    Blues by Battistella | 17m | 4s | Battistella | LOLA

They can just build that same music venue somewhere else. What’s the big deal? Either a new build or a warehouse conversion would do the trick. This is right next to an old warehouse district by the way. It’s a gentrifying area, this is exactly what I would expect to happen.

    Madison | 23m | 6s | Sarina Homes

With all this development in Marda Loop, eventually this area would become a good candidate for an LRT line. Maybe an additional line from downtown going through Bankview, Marda Loop and MRU?

    Riverpark | 18m | 6s | M2SC | Casola Koppe

A couple years ago we redid our bathroom. The contractor used mahogany for the subfloor because he said it was cheaper than plywood.

    Lincoln | 120m | 37s | Truman | NORR

This is perfect placement, as it will only be a block or two from one of the green line stations. According to the green line website, one subway station will be at 11 Ave and Centre St. Based on the length of a station, it could either extend to 1 St W or 1 St E as well.

    Calgary's Downtown Dilemma

I think downtown already has some great parks. A few that come to mind are Prince’s Island, St Patrick’s Island, the Bow River pathway system. Also, the Devonian Gardens are great in the winter. There are also already lots of great basketball courts popping up.
