Finish material is showing. It’s stucco, but it looks okay imo. Not spectacular , but not offensive.

Looks good in the concept renderings.

@Surrealplaces and @potatopizzafan , you gentlemen are talking about the same location, but different times. It used to be Kaffa, before if was the Farmer's House. Kaffa

Excavating quickly. I imagine they're trying to dig as much as possible before winter.

Laneway housing usually is due to someone looking to leverage their property for some extra $$. Great idea though, and if done a lot can help with the solution for affordable inner city housing. Some examples from Toronto...

    Calgary's Beltline

An intersection with a few LED signs would certainly give off a metropolis vibe similar to Dundas. 4th street SW and 17th ave would be a great location as well as 8th street SW and 17th ave around Tompkins (as previously mentioned) On a smaller scale, maybe Kensington Road and 10th street - if...

Still no sign of the cladding that will go around the balconies. :(

Gotta love that they got rid of the old light standard that was there before, and replaced it with that one.

We'll need to see how Courtyard 33 turns out before we can even make a judgement on it. So far it's on track IMO. The courtyard entrance looks a bit smaller than in the rendering, but changes like that are normal for all developments. For me it'll be the material on the outside of the building...

That would be cool. I don't know how feasible it is, but it would be def cool.

What brought you to this site?

I found this site via Google when looking for information on Park Point. I used to hang at SSP and tried to register an account there, 2 different times but was never able to, so I was a lurker. SSP was going downhill anyway so I stopped visiting the site after a while.

I would rather they leave the building as it is for now, and develop an already empty lot somewhere.

I wonder what the cost difference would be between this material, and the material used on Annex?

It could easily blend into the suburbs no question, but it's not offensive. It's one of those projects that won't stand out in a good way or in a bad way. I'm happy to see the lot get developed and some extra density added to the neighborhood.

RNDSQR ended up selling the project a while back, but it's almost done according to the latest pics in the thread.

I’m just going to say it. I like this building. The more I see it the more I like it, and part of me thinks a lot of the criticism is group think.
