Nice to see Forest Lawn getting some love. 17th Ave SE has so much potential given the Max Purple and its proximity to downtown. Also kind of helps push back on the narrative that infills only happen in gentrified neighbourhoods and create million dollar places.

So apparently the cost of that naming rights sponsorship deal with Cowboys for Millennium Park is the City of Calgary allowing them to pave over the entire green space so that Cowboys can pop up their Stampede tent there. This pisses me off given how little park space exists in the downtown...

Also the City has updated the Green Line website with a new map. I like the fact they have finally telegraphed the intention to keep building beyond Stage 1 as part of the map.

The only thing that bothers me is that the Max stops on Centre at 16th Ave and on Harvest Hills Blvd were kept out of the project scope for some reason so they are still the crappy regular bus shelters despite being some of the busier stops.
