Went to a concert last night and after re-experiencing the terrible bathrooms and a weird seat on a corner that cut off my personal space by 1/3 cause the person next to me was at an angle that pointed them directly into me, I’m ready to say goodbye to the Dome.

Some major activity this morning at Barlow and 114th ave. Took these while stopped in traffic so forgive the bad quality. They had pipes you could drive a pickup truck through (there was actually one parked nearby for scale). I wonder if that’s for the concrete support pillars?

Do I see spandrel that's not a hideous primary colour blending in seemlessly with the glass in the top left? I had no idea this was even possible due to Calgary developers opting for the most hideous designs imaginable. And where is the awful hardie paneling with metal easy trim? I thought that...

You think residents of this enclave would actually take public transit with the unwashed masses? Jay Westman said he envisioned residents getting helicoptered over from the airport when they fly in from whatever globe trotting they were doing. I wonder if they’re even targeting Calgarians?

The facade is so boring that they almost add interest. I wonder if there's still going to be a mural on the side as depicted? Those panels might not make the best surface for one.

Reminds me a little of the one going on the corner of Southland and Elbow. I prefer that one to this however. The massing looks awkward somehow. Even if they broke it up with a horizontal band of a different colour or something near the top floor it would help.
