Yep, a repurpose of an existing building. I'm guessing they can get away with it as is, due to the building itself not changing much. I would prefer a new building with parking in the back, but this will be better than the auto mechanic shop for sure.

Interesting rendering found on Farmor Architecture's website. I don't know how serious the proposal is as there is no DP, but it would be nice to see another highrise near the Banff trail LRT station.

I like it. It's quaint, and fits 34th ave vibe perfectly. Marda loop has two personalities. the busy 33rd ave with all modern styled buildings, and 34th ave, the quaint walkable, eclectic avenue. Turning into quite the neighborhood.

Welcome @tacom and thanks for your feedback. I have pretty much the same views regarding Calgary's cycling infrastructure. Some if it is really good, and some of it isn't good. It's coming together, but it's taking time.

You're opinion's popular with me. I like a few tall towers here and there for skyline enhancement and the appearance of urban fabric, but these smaller projects do so much to make an area feel nice.

100% with you on this. The one way traffic is really meant for peak traffic that's only busy for a couple of hours in the morning and in the late afternoon. It's time to rethink downtown as a large office park and more of a community. Also agree about putting residents in as the first step...
