Agreed, but was hoping for more of some kind of perforated mesh for the envelope as opposed to solid, corrugated steel sheets. That's how I saw the rendering, anyhow. Would have looked so much better, too.

You could always just cut it down. Maybe the people upstairs won't notice.

Love this, especially the retail street level activation on that side of 33rd! It's too bad that other new-ish/forgettable rental building will be wedged between these two complexes.

Some other fun stuff for discussion; the new Vecova Centre proposed for the current location of the VRRI. I'm assuming this is conditional on Vecova getting funding (whenever that is, although I'm sure projects like these are of interest to governments)...

Ah, FCCP2. I worked on that wayyyyy back in the day. Was supposed to resemble wheat or a grain or something. Now I see it a bit with the other towers for sure. 😁

So far so good, awaiting to see what the cladding will look like. Really hoping they open up that southbound turning lane again soon....

This one has turned out to be quite fun to watch go up. It's just... tall as all hell in that area of town. Not quite sure what to think of that white cladding yet though; will reserve further opinion until its completion.

Really underwhelming for a location of that importance. Yuck.

I love this design. Clean lines, very simple, very elegant. Very European too.

On a related note, the station is going to be really nice and modern, and will fit with the design of the new convention centre. No more flyovers or elevated connections. I've seen the plans.

Me too, I would sign in a heartbeat. This is game changing project for Inglewood, and would add to the character of the street and the Inglewood experience. NIMBYers are just afraid of change, always have been. There needs to be public support shown for this project.

You'll want to keep an eye on the 17th Avenue LRT Station as well, its redevelopment is going to be interesting alongside the convention centre.
