The ranks align, but I've seen some polls with a much bigger lead for Farkas. One I thought he was at roughly double Gondek and Sharp? And I think this is the first poll I've seen with either Gondek or Sharp over 20%.

Interesting, a true 3 way race. Janet Brown is considered a legend in polling circles so while polling has been all over the place, I'd put more faith in this one than the others we've seen.

Interesting article. I still can't wrap my head around how Arlington are so passionate about 17th, and yet for their most important site they are building arguably the most bland and underwhelming new build in the entire downtown area.

The Bay building is that rare site I would hate to see Truman pick up. They do good stuff but they suck when it comes to heritage protection. I am optimistic that the building will be saved. It would be such an outrage if it weren't saved that I can't see any developer being willing to risk...

I like it! Simple and understated, but with what appears to be decent colours and materials.

They did have their DP released and have their BP application in, so if they're not going ahead, they're leaving a lot of money (possibly millions of dollars) on the table. I am still hopeful that the holdup is on the BP application - there seems to be a bit of a backlog with building permits...

Architecturally, it's almost identical to the first townhome DP that was submitted months back. At least the site layout is a bit better this time around, with some of the buildings facing courtyards...

A couple of canvassers from Barrett's team came by my place a few weeks ago and honestly I wasn't impressed, they didn't do a good job of explaining his platform or why I should vote for him. Atkinson and one of his team members came by also and I found we were able to have a good conversation...

With the FAR they are going for I am sure it will be quite tall - probably at least 40 floors - but I fear they are a bit late to the game compared with the likes of Truman, One Properties and Vesta, and may miss this development cycle.

Looking at the air photo of the site, and considering tower separation policies etc, I don't think this will be designed as an extension of Keynote, and I'm betting we'll see something with a more conventional floorplate. Some of the floorplans in those towers are rather awkward and inefficient.
