I hope that the City completes the second phase sooner than later. Hopefully they can get the funding to complete 33 & 34 Aves to 14 St. Those areas should be less impactful to the businesses in the area.

Doesn't look like residential based on application. Design looks fine. Nothing exciting, but nothing to really gripe about. Benefit should be more services (hopefully some doctor's offices) in the neighbourhood.

Some of our meeting rooms overlook this site. I feel like I’ve witnessed a few OHS violations (specifically guys on ladders next to ledges with no harness).

This is anecdotal, because I’m too lazy to look it up, but Wong feels like a contrarian. It seems like he always votes opposite to the majority.

I think the City is paying for it, because the materials are consistent so it must be the City’s contractor.

Construction activity has definitely normalized. Road/lane closures are now limited to a few areas that are lower traffic. I’ve actually noticed a marked increase in people in the neighbourhood, which I think is because construction congestion isn’t that bad right now. People are actually using...

Update on Leonard’s current 34 Ave project

New patio up.

Another lollipop sign has been installed at 34 Ave & 18 St SW. There also appears to be a community “bulletin board” (it looks to be metallic/megnetic) at the same intersection.

I think I was in a bad mood the day I wrote this because the construction hoarding made me miss the bus again. This is actually turning out better than “meh”.

Part of me thinks this building might be better in the ownership of a public institution. Too bad UofC found its new School of Architecture.
