Even 95 spots is generous but I can live with it means the rest if the area gets developed.

My best estimation is 2000 units would add approximately $3.5M to $4M per year in taxes. I don’t know how much of a cost increase these units would add, but I bet it’s less than $3.5M per year. Regardless of how the tax revenue is labeled or how it’s handled, it’s a net benefit. Let’s just call...

Given the way this project had gone from the beginning it’s quite possible. It would be nice to see this get built, at the same time I feel bad for the investors. They could’ve invested into a number of other projects that have long been built already.

Kind of sucks, but realistically it wasn’t likely to get built as shown.

Unfortunately it won’t be completed, there would still be another block to be developed.

Sharp looking proposal, it reminds me of the one on 10th St. Where the Royal Bank was.

    Alberta Provincial Politics

If I were a betting man I would say that the brick shown on the upper portion will end up as paneling, but I would also bet that the podium will be brick as shown in the rendering. The upper portion I don’t care that much about as long as the podium is brick I’ll be happy with this project

Calgary Bike Lanes and Bike Paths

Maybe we're looking at two different things, but on their website it shows Macleod Trail/Ring Road intersection as high stress. I see Country Hills town centre as a mix of high and low stress, but the Bow River pathway as low stress. This is where I'm looking...

Unfortunately you're correct. It'll be there for some time, but there are still areas that can be developed. Start with developing the area shown in red, and it gets density and potentially a better walkway system to the LRT station. Once that area gets developed, the land where Home depot sits...

would be great to have a hotel in that part of the downtown/Beltline. Tourists can see a side of Calgary they don't always see.
