Would be a game changer to have a grocer in that location. With Yellowstone, Sovereign, 1405, Broward and potential 3 towers here, and two at Beltline Block, it's a huge increase in population. I'm sure they would also draw from Park Central as well.

    Statscan numbers

September housing starts. Not too much out of the blue. Toronto picking up steam. Montreal had a decent month after mostly sluggish months. Vancouver a bit lower than normal, probably still back filling extra inventory. Ott/Gat still really sluggish, and has been for a long time. Population...

You're probably correct. I bet this is the project referred to in the article.

Crane count at a solid 34.

Strange. Is it possible another restaurant in the area has hired someone just to delay the opening of some competition? I see there are 4 houses to the south of the restaurant, maybe it was one of those?

    Heritage Plaza | 91m | 26s | Arcadis

That would be my preference as well. There's an approved plan for Macleod from Glenmore to 75th, for having wider sidewalks and adding bicycle lanes, but for me the issue I have with MacLeod is the vehicle traffic coming in and out of parking lots. As a cyclist I would rather use a back street...

It would actually be kind of a cool mechanical penthouse! It would give off Japan vibes for sure!

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

I was hoping it was the Chartwell Haysboro, but the unit totals are quite a bit different.

They can always make the climbing wall a little more interesting........

    Infill Development Discussion

Geez, that's crazy. I mean it looks like it fits right in with the rest of the street. I wonder if the new blanket zoning is the only reason it got off the ground?

    Boro Block | 20m | 6s | Liberty Housing

We're definitely getting there. It's slower than I'd like to see, but at least there has been some movement. I just wish the city was more proactive on using their land towards these kinds of developments.

    General Construction Updates

No proposal as of yet. No DP's for anything recent.

For sure. If we ever see a developments o the SE and SW corner of that intersection, it would be the perfect place for a scramble.

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

I'm wondering if Chartwell purchased the halted Kingsland assisted living project?

    Oxford Tower | 262.12m | 62s | Oxford Properties

This would be a perfect spot. You could probably build a supertall on those empty lots on the south side of 9th along the tracks.

    General Construction Updates

Does anyone know if the demolition in 1875's pic is tied into the proposal on the west side of the parcel? It's not part of the the proposal's DP, but wondering if they are tearing the building down for future use as a lay down yard or ingress/egress point? The DP was approved, and there is...

Fair point. I'm happy to support the idea of trying out modular, but I also agree they could have tested it out in a number of other places.
