I love this redesign. It's absolutely stunning. However I'd be remiss if I didn't make the joke (and maybe some has already) that in some views with the windows open, it looks like a giant cheese grater.
One of the weirdest sidewalks in the city btw. I walked it last year for the hell of it. What is just a normal sidewalk on the west side suddenly starts sloping and sloping until you're trying not to lose your grip. I'm sure nobody actually uses it but I did wonder how a stroller or wheelchair...
Just looking at the Streetview image prior to the lighting store being demolished on the site. The store was covered in graffiti, but it appears that Cidex paid for it? Is that a common thing?
Or is there just a crossover between graffiti artists and Cidex fans...

Unless I'm missing something, it's kinda weird that there's nothing in the SW beyond Glenmore Trail, whereas the tables in the other quadrants go to further flung neighbourhoods.
Not quite in the same vein of this thread, but looking at the late 60s/early 70s, was that a drive in cinema where the Anderson train garage is now? It's probably clearest in the 1969 imagery.
