    MacKimmie Complex and Professional Faculties Building Redevelopment | ?m | 15s | U of C | DIALOG

I love this redesign. It's absolutely stunning. However I'd be remiss if I didn't make the joke (and maybe some has already) that in some views with the windows open, it looks like a giant cheese grater.

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

One of the weirdest sidewalks in the city btw. I walked it last year for the hell of it. Public Art

Also: Sam Livingston, one of Calgary's first citizens, in the airport Vincent Van Gogh, 10th Ave and 1st St SE and as I learned from this excellent piece, there's a statue of the Southerns at Spruce Meadows.

Calgary pops the top on alcohol in parks pilot project

Unless I'm missing something, it's kinda weird that there's nothing in the SW beyond Glenmore Trail, whereas the tables in the other quadrants go to further flung neighbourhoods.

    Calgary Buildings Lost to History

Not quite in the same vein of this thread, but looking at the late 60s/early 70s, was that a drive in cinema where the Anderson train garage is now? It's probably clearest in the 1969 imagery.
