    Scotia Place | 36.85m | 11s | CSEC | HOK

Maybe we do need some height to the left to balance out the skyline ;)

Truman’s hotel projects going to finally create momentum for the east side of 17th ave?

    Davis Block | 22m | 5s | Unitii | S2

Another new project for 5th street. Can’t recall the name. Bonus skyline shot, see if you can spot the drill. Excuse the blurriness, not sure why it’s uploading this way.

    General Construction Updates

Totally agree on the lack of retail, can’t believe the Eau Claire Lumber building is still empty. I’ve been a couple times lately and the park was packed. The design is great and luckily there’s at least a couple patios to the south and a new coffee shop opening in the former ymca gym, but it’s...

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

Great redevelopment and addition. Wish they would do something similar with the Servus Bank/Reids buildings just east of here. There’s also Anian, a clothing store from Vancouver that just opened nearby, along with a few others. Lots more happening for furniture/home too. Structube, and Silk &...

    Palliser One | 122m | 27s

Thought I’d throw in a skyline shot. Looks like they’re adding balconies here.

    Beltline Block | 118m | 36s | ONE Properties | Gibbs Gage

Getting there now, they have a lot of equipment going all out. Probably the thickest floors in Calgary. The office to residential conversion may have started too.

    University District | ?m | ?s | University of Calgary Properties Group

Quite a bit of infrastructure work and site prep now happening to the areas south of the children’s hospital. As usual, Truman’s leading the charge.

    Stampede Station | 277.3m | 71s | Truman | NORR

Just got back from Rome yesterday evening, going to be wild seeing some new tallest towers peaking above in the foreground when flying in. Can’t wait to see east side of beltline much more built up.

    Stampede Station | 277.3m | 71s | Truman | NORR

There’s been new hotel additions basically annually in downtown Calgary and existing hotels haven’t closed. I don’t think Marriott’s opening three more of their top-tier hotels in Calgary’s city center without doing their due diligence. Between the largest convention center in Western Canada...

    Stampede Station | 277.3m | 71s | Truman | NORR

Calgary continues to amaze. Love to see some massive projects in the Beltline like this Beltline Block, and Broadway, but let’s hope to get some smaller scale too on the east side of the Beltline - still lots of empty lots to fill. Might be more hotel announcements closer to the arena too as...

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

Public real improvements progressing on the North side of first ave in bridgeland, hope we see more mixed use on the side of the strip. Bridgeland has some of the most potential of any inner city neighborhoods. The shoppers mixed use project has started too.
