Calgary Bike Lanes and Bike Paths

The one I was talking about is the one on the Riverwalk, so you're probably right. It might have been busted..

Question regarding cycle track counters. Does anyone know if the counters along the cycle tracks are real time for update at intervals? The reason I ask is I passed a cycle track counter and then passed the same one in the poolside direction about 20 minutes later and it was still the same...

It's going to be strange seeing a tower suddenly rise. How long til it tops out?

    Calgary 2019 Civic Census

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I can't help but wonder how an estimate is more accurate than a census? I never thought I'd see Calgary hit 2 Million, but they way it's growing, it could happen.

The glass is turning out quite nice. I remember when we were all dreading what it was going to look like. Question for the construction nerds, is it curtain wall throughout, or are the balcony sections window wall?

I love the cedar, and I think it will only look better when it grays. I don't mind the lower amount of windows, but agree, a couple of extra windows would be good.

Nice to see that this is actually getting finished. I was worried it would be stalled before completion.

lol. I think that's a heritage home if I'm not mistaken. @JoeUrban would probably know for sure. If not, then, yah, it's not long for this world.

The problem with the proposed path is for regular commuters who ride at a good pace, the jog on 7th ave is going to be a pain in the ass. Many may just go straight down 4th if there is no train coming. I like that the city is looking at doing a path for the area, it's too bad it wasn't designed...

The silver panels look great. I'm glad they have a bit of effectiveness to them and not completely matte. Really looking forward to seeing the black panels.

I don't mind it. The north side of the podium is better than I was expecting.

https://www.evexperience.com/construction Road closures in EV for Cycle track construction. I presume it's for this plan but this diagram showing the road closures doesn't really show where it's going.

So far it’s looking great. Even with the variety of materials, none of them stand out awkwardly, they all seem to blend together well. Much better design than the building across the street.

Personally, I think the scooters will be a fad. They won’t disappear completely but you won’t see as many of them on the streets as you do today. And the people who will remain writing them will get better at writing them I don’t think it’ll be a problem having them on the paths with bikes and...
