I think it will be a vast improvement to that site - and it’s not bad looking.

    Stampede Station | 277.3m | 71s | Truman | NORR

Why does it need over a year for shovels in the ground :( Most of that time is needed for development approvals. 18 months seems pretty aggressive for something of this scale actually. If they can be under construction by Jan. ‘27 I’ll be thrilled.

    Eau Claire West | 109.11m | 33s | QuadReal | NORR

Was hoping for something a little more spectacular to be built on these lots - guess we’ll see where this goes.

Yeah that speed trap on Airport Trail just before Deerfoot Trail always irks me: “Welcome to Calgary - here’s a ticket” 😡

Another similar problem is drivers who slow right down (I’ve even seen breaking) just to change lanes on a high speed road. I don’t find Glenmore congested “most of the day” …. but it certainly was before the expansion.

Why is it an illusion ? Do you remember what Glenmore was like before it was made free flow ?

Doesn’t the City have a transportation project priority list ? Maybe LRT & Crowchild are too large of projects to be on said list ?

    Roads, Highways & Infrastructure

I honestly think the earliest construction starts on Crowchild 24th Ave N to the river is still a minimum 10 years away (2035). Hope I’m pleasantly surprised and it gets underway sooner than that.

Deerfoot = Province Crowchild = City Speaking of Crowchild, the “Medium Term” improvements could start in 2027 - I hope they do 🤞🏼 https://www.calgary.ca/planning/projects/crowchild-trail-long-term.html

^ How “high” are the proposed townhouses ? Insufficient infrastructure - come on. Did this get approved today ?

    Stampede Station | 277.3m | 71s | Truman | NORR

No No No The skyline is not static - it is always changing & growing. What seems off-balance today will be corrected by building more tall buildings (I hope).
