Think the billions that would cost would be better spent extending existing lines. Buses can connect WD with blue line at 69st or maybe an extension to 85st

IMHO I think this is a great project. It’s a couple blocks from the proposed Truman project. Also not that far from the stampede entrance and CTrain station. Podium isn’t great but parking probably has to be above ground when your that close to the river. I say build it!

I’m not sure it would worth the massive price tag to push the Blue Line that extra few miles. I would think it would over half a billion $$

Who said it will? The province with their back of a napkin elevated plans? The city was in full swing with the tunnel through downtown. Not sure there any sure costs for elevated yet.

Why not? There are no less than 6 current underpasses in the downtown area now. With possibly a couple more coming in the near future. Why can’t they find a way to send an LRT line under?

You find a way to go under the tracks. They build tunnels under mountain’s/bodies of water in the rest of the world. Sure our engineers can solve this problem. Can start cut n cover around 8th ave and pop out at Eau Clair for the future bridge across Bow River. The engineering over the tracks...

West district transit users can jump on a bus and be at the blue line 69st station in 10 mins. Maybe an express route when WD is built out. Not every development needs to be on a LRT line

Could they not just do a cut and cover through down town? Vancouver is a doing it now on the UBC line and did it in the part on the Airport line. Seems to me to be cheaper alternative to a boring machine and an ugly elevated option.

Think to much thought is being given to Transit. This district is high end. Not many are going to be using the bus or LRT in their daily commute.

Could they not integrate a new south Barn with the Green Line Depot in Shepard? Would be a cost saving’s I bet on the admin side. Also lots of land around that site.

They are flying on this one. Might be tipped out by summer!

School construction is 100% a provincial responsibility. School boards, not cities deal with this issue.

Drove by yesterday. Love the brick. The sign is a great touch. Store fronts are off the street just enough to allow for little patios. Great addition to the block.

I would hope WS/AM would announce a code share on both ends. Not just for domestic on both ends, also connections to S. America/Central America and Europe/Asia
