Bridgeland Riverside Continuing Care Centre | 18.59m | 5s | Province of Alberta | FWBA

This is a much larger building than the renderings make it look.

    The Bridge | 52.42m | 16s | Jemm Properties | Zeidler

Bridgeland looks so boss, in that last photo.

    General Construction Updates

Freaky! Reminds me of Stranger Things. I’m half expecting the demagorgs to come out at any moment 😧

    Vera Sunnyside | 26m | 6s | Vera Group | FAAS Architecture

That is the new standard for low rises, but I’m not complaining. I prefer over stucco.

    Nest | 40.23m | 15s | Cairo Development | Casola Koppe

You’re not the only one to have heard that. I have a buddy in the construction business and he said the same thing about them. Apparently they were turfed from some of their construction jobs.

Calgary is starting something exciting — and it's turning heads everywhere

    Weather and Gardening Discussion

Maybe some misunderstanding. I use the thumbs up to say okay cool or okay gotcha. I think that’s typically what people mean using it.

    Stephen Avenue Quarter | 241m | 66s | Triovest | Gibbs Gage

Exactly. We also went from having Art Central and the York at that intersection to sterile office towers, especially The Bow. I don’t want to see it get even deader.

    Calgary & Alberta Economy

I love this thread lately. Positive stories are now out numbering the doom and gloom stories.

    Weather and Gardening Discussion

I like your posts @UrbanWarrior and I think you’re a great contributor (a much better contributor than I am) but sometimes you respond to posts in a snarky manner, and I don’t understand why. With a new DP and now a renewed website, we might get lucky and it goes ahead for real.

    Stephen Avenue Quarter | 241m | 66s | Triovest | Gibbs Gage

I’m going to be a hypocrite and say that even though I’m all for extra density and residents in the core I would rather see it done differently. Done via smaller developments and conversions of office space instead of another tall tower with a monolithic podium replacing some of the few...
