    Scotia Place | 36.85m | 11s | CSEC | HOK

It's amazing and not at all a coincidence that a new user appears to defend the honor of CSEC.

    Urban Multi-Family Construction Count Tracker

Rent up an average of 25% in Calgary, demand higher than ever, vacancy rates under 2% but there are many projects on hold. Are there different interest rates in other cities?

    Glenmore Landing | 115m | 35s | RioCan | NORR

Parkland? I wish these people would just speak plainly - cut the shit and tell us all exactly why you are opposed to this development.

Rest easy bro Calgary is 90% greenfield and it seems you want to keep it that way. So like I said.

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

The problem with Calgary is that 80% of the people who live here don't see that (Metrotown ) as a good thing. I remember distinctly the uproar about the Anderson station project where anyone living in a 100km radius came out of the woodwork to scream about parking, density, and "character"...

What's the hold up with DP and BP? Staffing? Complexity? Amount needing approval/declined?

    West Tenth 1400 | 24m | 7s | Trimount

The city of Calgary seems to want to dump money into places like 37th SW instead of any street where people might actually walk. It's absolutely insane that 8th Street SW is still sitting untouched - how many years has it been since it's redevelopment was proposed? 15? But I'm sure some semi...

According to DOPs Instagram they are no longer moving locations in December. So I guess whatever was supposed to be going on that site is either delayed or cancelled.

    Glenmore Landing | 115m | 35s | RioCan | NORR

Have you all heard about the ongoing housing crisis? But sure, in a city absolutely dominated by SFH and sprawl by all means lets continue to oppose every development. Same tired shit every time - parking, density (ooo scary - really just a dog whistle for "poor" despite rents in these places...

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

Anyone know who owns the land on the north west corner of 12th and and 11th street SW? It's a complete disaster of a site right now, the fence has been pushed down, garbage everywhere just an absolute eyesore along a very busy pedestrian corridor.

    Gallery First & Tenth | 60m | 19s | Truman

Half a million for 750 square feet isn't going to work in Calgary at this point.

    Sunalta Heights | 88.39m | 27s | Housing One | S2

Crazy that the city spends millions on street scape redevelopment on an area like 17th and 37th SW but 10th Avenue, you know, where people actually walk, nope sorry. Makes zero sense.

    Stephen Avenue Quarter | 241m | 66s | Triovest | Gibbs Gage

Bill Burr last night asked "where the fuck are all the people in your downtown here? Does everyone get a skyscraper to themselves?" I laughed but it bit a little too but that's Bill Burr I guess.

The answer is money of course.

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

The city will stop catering to cars when something less than 90% of the city doesn't live in car oriented suburbs. There are thousands of voters in this city who want no investment into bike lanes at all and while they will probably never even use this road I guarantee if they hear bike lanes...

    Oliver | 121.3m | 35s | Centron | Gibbs Gage

It's bananas to me that 37th and 17th area is getting all these sidewalk upgrades and work and meanwhile streets and aves like 8th street and 10th ave, who see far more pedestrian traffic I'm sure, are left.

    Stephen Avenue Quarter | 241m | 66s | Triovest | Gibbs Gage

Normally I'm a "beggars can't be choosers" type of person but this is pretty bad. Plus I wouldn't be surprised if the phases of this project stopped after the first couple.
