I wonder if these towers will have accent lighting, like Telus Sky or the crown of Brookfield place, I think it adds a nice bit of charm to downtown. Hope that trend continues

Wow, just under 3 meters shorter than that old Aldritt tower proposal in Edmonton from 8 years ago. It'll be nice taking the height mantle back.

I believe the original design had them a dark grey, they'll probably be the same, or black but red would also be cool. It's a shame Detroit did away with their red seats after a few years, they do have more seating though and the wings were pretty bad at the time so I understand why they did...

The 2021 edition of the arena had the same design, just flipped around

So they amended the Dmap drawings again October 22nd and from what I can tell, It looks like they've made the video ribbon even.... Bigger?

I hope the video ribbon doesn't get VE'd, iirc something similar happened under the sloped section of the BMO center

One of the few things I liked about the original design was that it had a glass wall. In this edition it's been replaced by panelling

The one and only design element from the old arena I wish they integrated into this design were the sections of the building that were glass and you could better see the interior, most of it is covered with metal panels now, which is kinda cool still. You can see escalators and stuff in the...

Even the 2019 edition of the building had concept art released the same year the paperwork was signed. I know they looked nothing like the final design (unfortunately), but hey, it was something satiate our desires.
