Interesting change from the original proposal at the same address(s). I took this photo in April 2024, and you can see by the date on the sign that it had been there for some time already by that point. Looks like they got ahold of another two properties for a bigger development.

Yeah it's a good fit. And the plaza right across Southland with No Frills, Amaranth, Dollarama plus many other shops will be really convenient for the tenants who end up living there. I'm curious if they have any commercial/retail tenants yet for the main floor spaces.

It looks like the land use change was approved? The developer submitted a new or amended Development permit application on March 19th. Not sure what if anything has changed in the application.

Many of us in the highly aviation specific jobs do not live in the NE or even North Central. It's more mixed. The bulk of the generic service workers at the airport probably live in the NE. But if they're going to build a train to the airport anyway why not give airport staff a discounted rate...
