The crane is down at adolescence mental health building.

    Autumn | 22m | 6s | Homes by Avi | LEMAYMICHAUD

I like that they are using a number of different materials, but rather than scatter 6 different materials over the whole block, they are focusing different materials on different sections.

    Sunalta Heights | 88.39m | 27s | Housing One | S2

Does anyone know why they have so many pieces of plywood for windows? Waiting for materials?

    Scotia Place | 36.85m | 11s | CSEC | HOK

Technically Edmonton is 92k less, but it’s a small margin in the grand scheme of things. About 7% difference. I don’t know what the actual dollar amounts are going to each city, but I suspect they’re not that far apart, what’s happening lately, though is all the focus has been on Calgary. It’s...

    Brentwood Commons | 85m | 24s | Casola Koppe

If these projects were partnered with a developer like Embassy Bosa they might have completed by now.

    University District | ?m | ?s | University of Calgary Properties Group

There are a crapload of northwest suburbs, and not one of them has a walkable street so I can see why they flock to University District. You know Northwest Calgary is starved for anything remotely urban when the university district’s two block high Street is attracting people from all over.

    Calgary International Airport

YYC's pretty good for the most part. I recently had the non-pleasure of using JFK, and Fort Lauderdale Hollywood airport. Outside of a few Asian airports like Singapore, are there enjoyable airports anywhere?

    Calgary Transit

If people don't feel safe using the LRT, then the system becomes a failure. A system held hostage by a few hundred people.

    Alberta Provincial Politics

I can see some undecided voters deciding to go UCP if they think the NDP isn't going to be tough on crime. Safety has been a real issue lately.

    Calgary's Homeless

These stories of homeless people threatening with knives and needles, and doing property damage is related to drugs for sure. I have a buddy who works down near alpha house, and always he has crazy stories. In the day when the homeless people drank alcohol and smoked pot, we didn’t have these...

    Calgary Transit

Maybe they wouldn't but I would like to see some data out there that show the differences. I have family in Vancouver and they say the turnstiles made a difference when Vancouver added them. It's only their perception, but maybe it does help.

    Calgary Field House | ?m | ?s City of Calgary |

As far as I know, this is only a multi-purpose, indoor sports facility. You might be able to get away with a smaller stadium of around 20k but the original intention was to make it more of an indoor sporting facility of all types of sports, and less of a stadium.

    General Construction Updates

I remember there being a white spot directly west of the Shaw Building at Barlow.

Agreed. That would be a perfect place for TOD style development.

Looks good, actually better than I was expecting.

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

I recall Cidex submitted a DP for the third tower not too long ago, but from what I remember yes, Sovereign was dead a long time ago. I will predict the next projects to go ahead as EV606, Gallery or Park Pointe 2.

    Rivers Edge | 20m | 6s | GBS | NORR

That makes sense. Literally every small multi family development is moving by at snail’s pace.
