Something this close of walking distance to an LRT station should be higher density and judging by their marketing website, the target clients aren’t the type to do any kind of walking to an LRT station, only driving their beemer...

Outside of the miss on the bike lanes, University District has been an major success in my opinion.

Pretty soon, Inglewood will have to change its name to the brewery district!

I’d rather they kept the old drive-through for the foreseeable future than have a new one for another 50 years. I have to admit, I use the drive through myself sometimes and it’s very convenient, but I would be quite happy had the city stood their ground on this one.

This building looks different in different lighting. It looks great in those last pics!

Lots of potential for that stretch of 17th. Would be nice to see a few larger, multi family projects get built in that area to help support the retail.

This is now quite noticeable from Memorial east or west bound.

This is the same architect that did Lynnwood Manor, which also has a corrugated panel material, so you can probably get a preview from what the material will look like on this one.

It’s better than I was expecting, and I agree, it’s nice to see some different materials on the exterior.

To the south of the proposed development is a retail centre that draws lots of traffic. Maybe the developer is looking to join in that traffic?

I’ve passed through University District a few times in this past month and I like what I am seeing. Every time I’ve been through, University Avenue has been busy. I think you’re spot on about the feel of it, it has a nice human, scaled feel to it. The density isn’t too high, and it’s not too low...

100% agree. The trees and shrubs only been planted in the last two or three years and they look good, it seems they are taking good care of them.
