    Caravan Apartments | 18m | 6s | City Vibe | KN

After seeing Crown Surplus and Gresham, these typical elongated 6 storey wood frame buildings with the beige, white and grey panels just aren't doing it for me anymore. And yeah, too much surface parking

    Broadway on 17th | 154m | 47s | Vesta | Zeidler

Looks great! The podium level is more or less as per the previous pre-DP renders, but the towers are a little different. So...over 500' which makes it our tallest all-residential, officially, and slightly taller than WVT which I believe is 150m/492'.

    Gresham Block | 24m | 6s | Truman | Casola Koppe

I think this development style is ideal for inner-city areas just outside of downtown like Inglewood and Kensington. Reminds me of the sort of development that has been happening in Denver's LODO district. These sort of mid rise streetscapes are in very short supply here in Calgary compared...

    Gresham Block | 24m | 6s | Truman | Casola Koppe

Looks very good IMO! I'd love to see a bunch more high quality 6 storey projects like this one, the Crown Surplus site and the pair east of the library (although, ideally replacing parking lots rather than historically significant buildings).

    Crown Surplus | 20.36m | 6s | KN

I-XL's website should have more info about the type of brick to be used based on the materials list in the DP.

    Capitol Hill Apartments | 22.5m | 6s | EComfy Living | Casola Koppe

Bummer, would like to see more projects of this scale close to 16th...

    Crown Surplus | 20.36m | 6s | KN

According to the material boards, it's brick. Also, the back will be Hardie Panel, which I don't see as unreasonable considering the cost. But I found some more elevations dwgs...

    Crown Surplus | 20.36m | 6s | KN

DP just submitted for the Crown Surplus site in Inglewood. Never heard of this developer before. Architect is KN Architecture. Will be a shame to lose the surplus store but there are some CRU's in this development so maybe it can find a place there. Also, I am loving this red brick design...

    Kings by LaCaille | 113m | 35s | LaCaille Group | S2

Is there like a crane shortage in Calgary or something? I feel like this, Imperia and Scotia Place should have already had cranes fully erected by now...

True, but they do have MAX Orange service.

    Gallery First & Tenth | 60m | 19s | Truman

They did, but they started construction on Imperia months before Gallery, in part because there was no demolition involved.

    JEMM 16th Ave | 25m | 6s | Jemm Properties | NORR

The signage on the fencing now is for a construction contactor, not a demolition contractor so I think this one is pretty much U/C. JEMM is another developer that seems to move pretty quickly on their projects. Still not their best work but the changes from the initial rendering are good...

    Gallery First & Tenth | 60m | 19s | Truman

At this rate they'll have a crane up here before Imperia...

    Imperia | 95.3m | 27s | Truman | NORR

Is it me or is the hole on this one unusually deep?

    1405 - 4th Street | 77m | 24s | GWL | Arcadis

I believe the Land Use allows for 2 towers now of roughly the same height but only the first tower DP is approved?

    Calgary Flames Official Thread

I have been hearing the excuse this year that the Leafs are under unique pressure compared to other teams, and I think that's rubbish. Iconic pro sports teams whose fan bases expect them to win - the Yankees, Dodgers, Lakers, Man United, Patriots and many more - figure out how to get it done...

    Calgary Flames Official Thread

As a longtime Sens fan, I have always hated the Leafs. This year, it feels that they've reached such a level of playoff haplessness that even I can't help but feel sorry for them. Sure, they beat my team in the first round, but were expected to by just about everyone, and the Sens' future...

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

Yet another Truman DP submitted in University District, this one for Block 28. Architect is Metafor. As is usual for Truman, not outstanding by any means but reliably decent.

    Beverly Mary Resort | 50m | 16s | Jayman | NORR

This will be an exciting one to see happen. I believe they ill be the first highrises in the far southeast!

    420 Meredith Rd NE | 15.8m | 5s | Cirno

Yup, brings a bunch of units to the area yet small enough to be unobtrusive even though it's boring. The bigger question for me is what 1990's software they used to produce their renderings.
