Wow, almost 3 times the traffic of Edmonton and almost 5 times the traffic of Ottawa and Winnipeg. Edmonton won't flat-line as quickly as Ottawa and Winnipeg, but I agree, over the long term their future isn't great. I see it becoming more of a feeder airport for Calgary.

I don’t think any heritage buildings are getting the wrecking ball. I agree, though, might as well go to 15 stories. The LRT is going to be a block away..

As much as I want to see something developed on that location, I think it should be done properly. It’s one of the few locations that could support zero parking due to the LRT, but definitely should have some bike enclosure/racks for sure.

That is the general gist of how the city’s taxes work, but it’s not that simple. New properties are new revenue sources and new costs centres. In theory if the new properties add more revenue than cost, it help lowers the overall tax requirement and if new costs are more than the new revenues it...
