I don't mind having such a massive project in the city made by a single developer, but of all locations, why there? There's plenty of massive, empty parking lots in the city that could be developed instead without anything being torn down. Hell, there's two MASSIVE parking lots literally a block...

I don't know what it is about that picture, but damn it looks soo good. The composition and the vertical linearity just make it flow so well. You've got a good eye.

I'm glad they built the little water section. I was half expecting them not to since they decided to downgrade to only one tower. Probably one of my favorite landscaping projects as of recently.

Huh I was wondering what happened to that shisha bar since I visited calgary this summer and went to the highschool beside there. Feels sort of strange to put a 15s tower there though, especially one so skinny.

How likely is the building that was proposed by the Oxford Investment Group to be built sometime soon by the way? I know that it's all dependent on the economy as at least a big part of the building was proposed to be as office space but seems like Calgary already has way too much of it already.

Looks like downtown is slowly merging with Mission and East Village should be fully attached with no "skyline cavity" in a few years. Damn Calgary downtown and CBD is gonna look big in like 5 years.

Very sexy design. Looks really similar to a few projects in downtown Toronto, where they combine the components of an old, historic building and merge it with a newer half. The only complaint I have is the new side looks a little blocky aside from the very interesting bent wood panels.
