Again, a football stadium on the Saddledome site will require demolition of the Stampede HQ. Not sure if that's in the card for them at this point, maybe they decide to build something new as part of this revamp Populous are going to look into.

CSEC aren't going to build a stadium, and getting the city to build them one is a non-starter. McMahon is going to stay for a long, long time.

Unfortunately we are just going to get another renovation on McMahon.

NORR had a middle east office, but that has been spun off into a separate company. Not sure if they even use the NORR brand anymore...

Surprisingly they are done by the same Architect. Hopefully this proposal inspires Cidex to up the design quality or just sell the site to Truman! lol

I think freeway just means a very wide and busy road in this context, not an actual freeway. I share your disdain for hyperbole, people overstate the busyness of roads all the time on here.

The city is very green and lush this year, nice change from a very dry spring! Big downside is the mosquitos are out in force this year, can't even sit in my yard and have a beer without getting swarmed!

Definitely a rainy summer so far, don't mind much if it keeps the smoke at bay. Would be nice to have a full week of nice hot weather though...

Going under 8th is the plan as 7th is pretty much at capacity. Also, having trains run at street level is stupid. Sitting on a train waiting for a red light just doesn't make sense. The tunnel under Stephen Ave exists under City Hall, a couple towers on 8th have an area for a future station...

Buildings don't get imploded anymore really. Nowadays it's expected that you will recycle as much as you can, demolishing a building and just burying the rubble is likely not even allowed. Demolition will definitely be fascinating, the roof is cable suspended, and the concrete ring beam holds...

Eventually it will. The issue with the green line tunnel was going under the river provided for some really unstable geology. Going under stephen Ave would be much easier and we already have 300m of tunnel there to connect to.
