Is the old church getting any sort of refresh or repurposing as part of this project?

1st St SE (southbound Macleod Tr) is supposed to get a road-diet and a cycletrack installed within the next couple of years but you can bet your bottom dollar that project will become a fixation for the UCP who will vow to get involved and stop the bike lanes, Doug Ford style.

Lol, and still not even done as the article mentions the play structure won't be installed and opened until the end of July.

Official ground breaking ceremony for the Green Line is tomorrow so that is likely what the signs you are seeing are referencing. Construction on the maintenance and storage facility and the Barlow Trail bridge are set to kick off immediately with contracts already awarded for them...

Looks like June 26 is the opening day for the rooftop restaurant/patio. Apparently it's a Concorde Group restaurant which means it should be pretty decent. They really are on a tear these days with their expansion. https://www.bowandbendrooftop.com/

I don't think these renders are new but the project is now being promoted by the CMLC's East Village accounts across social media. Hopefully thst means construction is close.

Heard through the grapevine the official opening of Eau Claire Plaza is July 2nd although there may be a soft opening before that.

Agreed. The 3rd Ave cycle track should have served as the high speed cyclist bypass to this section of pathway. It's a shame the City caved and took it out after it had already been installed. I also agree that the pathway curve was likely a design choice to slow cyclists. If the pathway...
