    General Construction Updates

Yep, here's the thread to it :)

    Stampede Station | 277.3m | 71s | Truman | NORR

I've updated the height to 252m based on Truman's media info. It could end up being more or end up less, but for now will leave it at that height.

    Stampede Station | 277.3m | 71s | Truman | NORR

Little bit higher res as linked from Imgur.

    Stampede Station | 277.3m | 71s | Truman | NORR

To be honest, I don't care if it's going to be the tallest in western Canada or not. Even if it tops the Stantech tower, it's likely that Vancouver will get a suburban tower that tops this one, but I suppose if it's going to be around 248m, I would be disappointed as they would only need 4 more...

    Stampede Station | 277.3m | 71s | Truman | NORR

I guess we need to wait until a DP is in to get the final height, or if anyone knows who the architect is, we may find some numbers that way. Like @Mountain Man said, until this or the other Vancouver proposals are built, Stantech is the bar.

    Stampede Station | 277.3m | 71s | Truman | NORR

The caveat is 'if built' which would be for both proposals. But yeah, if the Vancouver one gets built then, it would be taller.

    Calgary Retail Thread

I'm glad to see this happening. I've heard about this mis-management over the years, and it was evident to us forumers when their multifamily proposals started. Hiring Quarry Bay a small company with no experience to propose 40 storey tower concepts. They really needed to work with a proven...

    Stampede Station | 277.3m | 71s | Truman | NORR

I'm always amazed at Truman, and kind of worried as well. I can't believe how much they've taken on. I've been under the assumption that the three Truman towers downtown was mostly funded by outside investors (due to the advertising on that Toronto condo site) and Truman was more managing the...

    A couple more renderings.

    Stampede Station | 277.3m | 71s | Truman | NORR

Yep, this Truman trio of hotels would make it 9 hotels built in downtown in roughly a decade. That's pretty amazing, especially when compared to comparable sized cities like Edmonton or Ottawa.

    Stampede Station | 277.3m | 71s | Truman | NORR

I put the height at 248 meters as a placeholder (so it shows in in the other SRC main forums), given 11 feet per floor, plus 5 extra floors as the bottom 5 floors look roughly double height. We'll know for sure once the DP is in, but it looks like this could be the tallest building in western...

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

And take 3 years. I don't like to sound like Rick Bell either, but I know where you're coming from. I'm looking at the plaza and thinking it was a lot of time and money, for something that doesn't seem much different. The riverfront portion is nice and there is a noticeable difference, but the...

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

It looks fairly similar to how it used to look. Function-wise, not much of a difference really.
