That's actually a great location (so long as you're not on the cpr side)

I'm of the mind that Crowchild could be improved a lot with only a few small fixes. The most costly part of the solution has little to do with Crowchild, and everything to do with 10th Ave SW. Here's what I would do: Crowchild @... Kensington Rd NW: No overpass, no light. Right-on-right-off...

I was waiting for someone else to make the first post on this. Thanks.

Interesting! So, if your unit is on the ground on the front, it's on the 2nd floor at the back; and if you're on the ground on the back, you are the 2nd floor at the front. Hmm. Same for 3rd and 4th floors. Meanwhile, the outside is a 70's clad moth-on-tree-bark cladding reimagined with modern...

I think the fish scales look awesome. I wonder if it will be used as a background in a movie filmed here sometime.

There should definitely be a second walkway to the south end of the station, AND both walkways should extend in the direction of pedestrian travel rather than loop back on themselves.

Are they going to keep that slight bevel on the top edge? It looks great in the render.

Let her try on her dress before you tell her how she looks. But yes, this has been a concern of mine with snohetta (and local partners). Bus-stop-chique. I think it will still look great for most site lines, and I'm holding out hope for the wood panels. The form is still A1 - I mean it's pretty...

Ok, but the there's a park on one side and a highway/c-train on the other. I would probably do away with surface parking, but I'm not sure what could realistically be done in the context.

Have you ever been in there? It's actually still a functioning military building. A long time ago the mess hall there was a client of mine. They do exercises, recruiting, and it's fairly busy most days. That said, a public market would be sweet.

They should make a little ski tunnel from COP beside 83rd St all the way down to Bowness. People could ride their bikes or walk their dogs through it in summer.

What do you guys think of the exterior hallways? I think I like.

I like that the grocery store/condo are right at the pedestrian bridge (instead of across the parking lot) with a direct path to Blakiston Park or University City. What more would you do for urban design?

Looks great. It's all about connecting to the pedestrian bridge.

I usually wouldn't be a fan of those crazy offset balconies, but in the context between those two boring neighbours they are perfect.

I take it their mother was a fan of Paul Simon. That explains the good taste.

Wow, it's not usually my taste, but I actually really like those retro plywood cabinets. What material is that countertop? Engineered wood?
