    104 is one of Edmonton's more walkable streets. They just blew it big time on the design front by not integrating it better with the street

    It's strange that Davison released the one render. Perhaps he was trying to deflect some of the heat he has been under. CSEC and the City are likely pretty pissed as i'm sure they wanted to reveal the project on their own terms given the scrutiny it is under.

    It's not a pro-CSEC argument. They are a bunch of clowns. I just don't think the street oriented retail part will get scrapped as it's not in their interest to do so.

    Why not? The Flames would love nothing more than to have a big sports bar attached to the arena to show Flames away games. If the long term plan is to have 4th street be a retail/ entertainment main street then the Flames are going to want to get in on that. And again, that's assuming the Flames...

    I doubt that the Flames have complete control over the design with or without CMLC managing it. The City sold the project to taxpayers as a centerpiece of the Vic Park redevelopment. It would be stupid of them to hand the Flames a blank check and not demand certain design elements
