I absolutely love the density transition from downtown to Mission. Skyscrapers transitioning into high-rise, residential and low crude office, transitioning into mid rise, residential.

I’d like to see the clock tower made into an interactive display like the one they have in East Village near Arris. Also, I agree with Surreal’s’s suggestion of using white and black instead of brown and black.

Car spotting action is great in Calgary these days. I remember the days when seeing any kind of Porsche was a rare event. Now with all of the dealers in the city we are getting a lot of eye candy. I saw a BMW i8 on the weekend. The third one in less than a month.

The NDP would be the best bet at helping control these homeless/crime issues over the long term, but tough talk and the perception of action will get some quick votes for the UCP - even though it’s going to solve anything long term. I’m happy to see more effort going into transit safety.

It’s a bad year for hockey. Once the Flames are eliminated in the next few days my focus will be routing for Edmonton to lose, but that’s not looking good either. Edmonton’s been the best team in the conference, maybe even the league the last 2 months.

Half the people on my street have already swept up the gravel in front of their house. Nobody wants to wait for the city to finally get around to it in late May.

The development in Evanston would be greenfield. Anything built that isn’t replacing land already used is generally considered greenfield, though under that definition it would also include places like U/D.

Winnipeg and Nashville play tonight, my only hope is it’s not an overtime or shoot out game. Another game against Vancouver tonight. The Flames won last time, but it still scares me. Vancouver can be pretty good on a given night.
