As a Lycée français graduate (but not the Calgary one), I'm a big fan. I hope it makes the growing YYC French community thrive more.

A bunch of Five-a-side soccer pitches would do so well. Those are incredibly popular in any city in the world and they are like basketball courts, they do not require too many players. They are always packed here in Europe and there are a lot of soccer fans/players in Calgary.

I met a lot of people doing BC-Paris through Calgary as well. A direct line Vancouver-Paris exists but it is supplied by Air France, which tends to be really pricy. I've taken that route before and it was 2x more expensive than a YYC-Paris with Westjet. There is definitely a market.

I was looking at some old pictures of Calgary and it seems like there were way more trees on Stephen Ave before. What happened to them? The street looks so much more lively than it is now.. Sometimes i miss the 2000s.
