Ther last time the Beltline didn't have a tower crane somewhere would have been around 2004. After Emerald Stone was completed there might have been a gap before Chocolate started construction. If not it would have been about 2002.

I would agree with Surreal on Inglewood being the most diverse from an architectural point. Any time you have a neighbourhood with new building that have steel tiles, and down the street is an old barn, hard to not to agree.

The rendering looks great. I like the look and feel of this more than I do with Edmonton's ICE district. This has a nicer human scale and feel to it. also the glass walls wold be great in comparison to the windowless aluminum covered Rogers Place. With so many thing s going on at Stampede park...

Apparently dead as is, but maybe come back as a new redevelopment with an LRT station? Someone mentioned this in the green line thread. I don't think it's a bad idea.

I'm in agreement that the community has the right to be heard, and in some situations could be a benefit, I only meant that in this case it's mostly a nimby argument, and that common sense would prevail. totally agreeing with you.
