I suggest an even split of time between Tokyo and Osaka. Osaka itself has some attractions worth checking out, like Osaka Castle, and while it is a bit like a "mini Tokyo" as previously mentioned (with almost 20 million people still not that "mini"), it's a great home base for exploring Kyoto...

Looks good! We must be pretty close to full buildout of the EV waterfront sites - now hopefully we'll see more action on those parking lots.

I would imagine their DP approval requires substantial environmental mitigation, removal of contaminated soil, etc but I'm sure someone with an engineering background could explain that better. It's certainly a sign they are proceeding ASAP though. I actually really like this project...

DP not approved but submitted, so still good news and a very positive sign as it costs a lot of money to prepare and submit a DP drawing package, along with the fees etc.
