Although there is a For Sale sign on the north fence, they have started construction on the south Units. Might be easier to sell with everything finished
Reducing Macleod to 3 lanes and adding the bus lanes like Forest Lawn doesn’t make any sense. First of all there is a CTrain line that runs parallel to most of Macleod. It makes sense in Forest Lawn because it can easily be switch to an LRT line if required in the future.
We all want walkable...
I hope as the interest rates continue to drop, more and more towers will break ground. A 1%+ drop in rates and the waiving of GST on building products might just be what the developers need to get all these projects going
You’d think if DP was approved and all the units were sold then as soon as BP was approved they’d start? Truman does have a “LOT” of projects under construction but this one seems to be a lock
Been in Kelowna for the past few days. I think there are more cranes here than in Calgary. Definitely if you count the ones on mid/highrises. We need a boom in Calgary
After doing the math it’s going to cost $115 million/94 units = $1.22 million unit/average. That seems extremely high for downtown Calgary. Hope the units are all 3bdrm/1500 sq ft each. Good luck making money on this
If they turned the second tower mixed/residental only I think this would be a great location for it. Might spur some more proposals popping up in the area. Unfortunately I don’t see it happening.
After reading the history of Marda Loop. I kinda would love the Co-op development and even more the Street car back. Can the Green Line and put that money into street cars!
