    First & Park | 75m | 18s | Graywood

I'm shopping right now and you can find some way better new built condos (in the EV) for 300K, or even less. I think they will have a hard time selling this one.

Is it me or December and November were dreadful in terms of sunshine?

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

There is really one problem preventing the area from taking off. It feels a bit suicidal to buy in Arris, especially if you intend to sell after some years.

East Village: Success or a long ways away yet?

I was wondering if there any rumours or plan for new development in the EV? Besides Evo and the Paddle court they are building (without a roof, lol). Or a new shop opening? It feels the neighbourhood has lost its dynamic. Still daydreaming of the giant parking lot being replaced with dense...

    Argyle | 22m | 6s | Avi Urban | Gibbs Gage

University district coming along well. I wish we could have plants/flowers/benches on the sidewalk like you see very often in European cities. It would make the area more lively and feel more organic.

    The Cornerstone | 36m | 10s | Peoplefirst

Yes, there are several listings for renting units of the buildings online right now. 2 bedrooms going for between 2.1K and 2.6K. A bit pricy considering the building and this area of downtown but you judge.

    Homespace 12th Ave | 16m | 4s | HomeSpace | IBI Group

It looks very cheap. I understand we have a housing crisis but lets keep some standards for new constructions in this city:(

I'm working from home so yes I'm looking for nice place downtown, which comes at a price, but this price was 600$ cheaper 3 years ago...

    Calgary real estate market

I'm moving back to Calgary and looking to rent a condo (DMs are open if anyone is leasing an unit). I was renting a 1 bedroom for 1.1k$ in 2020/2021, now i'm gonna need to spend at least 1.8k it's insane. I also wonder why condos remain cheap to buy when rents are spiking this much.

    Flyover Block | 20m | 6s | RNDSQR | FAAS Architecture

I'm gonna agree with Mountain Man on this one. I can deal with bland, boring, hell even beige buildings but this one (if the final result doesn't look drastically different) is really low effort and quality. It's going to have significant visibility, it's bad publicity for the aesthetic of the...

Got a bad feeling on this one lol

    Calgary real estate market

Hopefully, this leads to a stabilization of prices or a slight decrease. Was looking at 1 bedrooms downtown and there was nothing under 1.800$ while I was paying 1300$ in 2021 for a new built, furnished, internet, water and heating included. Madness.

    Calgary Transit

That's actually not too far from reality, pretty impressive. I was born in 1996 so I am curious to know was the dominant view on urban development in Canada back then? Is that when the notion of TOD emerged?
